Play Synopsis
Violet and Jade Fields live a quiet and idyllic life
in sunny California. While the two are sisters, they couldn't be
more different. Violet Fields is a gentle girl who wants to use her
musical talents to brighten the lives of her fellow man. Jade Fields
is a cold woman who seeks only money, stardom in the silent
pictures, and power over her fellow man. Enter the dastardly silent
movie producer Brimstone T. Lemmon who wants to get his hands on the
Field's property to set up a movie studio. He is moving out west
from the capital of the movie industry, New York City. His plan is
to cheat Mr. Edison out of his equipment royalties and cheat the
fine people of Los Angeles into making his movies for little or no
pay. He is aided and abetted in his scheme by his treacherous lawyer
Mason Perry who believes the only good contract is a broken
contract. Only the fearless film star Guy Stalwart can save Violet
and the Field's estate. But will he arrive in time to stop the
villains, or is there a secret he is keeping from Violet about his
motives?
